Why An IT Alliance?
I’m sure the first question that anyone would ask is “Why, exactly, does Moncton need a site like this?” Well, that’s a wonderful question!
As pointed out by our colleague P Gauthier in a recent blog post, there is a major hole missing in communication and collaboration of all that’s going on in this end of the world. There are plenty of groups, such as Cyber Social, Third Tuesday, Dev East, and others.
All of these groups are doing great work. They’re giving to the community, and helping people come together. The problem is, however, that there is no central location to discuss and announce these events. You may be a regular member of Cyber Social, and still have no idea about all the other wonderful things going on!
Our goal is to fill that gap. We are striving to create a place to track all the local IT events; a place for collaboration and sharing of information. As we go, you’ll also find that we have some other wonderful things in store, so bookmark our RSS, and keep up! We’re about to start on a huge journey!
